AYSO Alex Morgan

Pacific Soccer Club (PSC) is a competitive youth soccer club. We provide more challenging level for players who possess the appropriate interest, skills and abilities.

COMPETITIVE SOCCER * PROFESSIONAL TRAINING * PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

POSITIVE COACHING * GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP * EVERYONE PLAYS®

Pacific Soccer Club (PSC) was established in 2000. Our goals are to be successful, both in player development and team results. The results will come due to the growth of the players in both their skills and game understanding. This will be the result of a solid TEAM effort, which must include the players, parents and coaching staff. The strength of the team is founded in the good communication and understanding that has always existed between the coaches, players and parents in the AYSO organization. The philosophy has always been that:
• Learning is an important part of the game
• Winning isn’t everything
• The family is a critical part of the team experience

Player Evaluation and Selection
Player performance will be evaluated by observing the player in skill sessions and game situations.

Present and potential team members will be evaluated in the following areas:
• Technical competence (skills)
• Tactical awareness (understanding)
• Functional Attacking (skills)
• Functional Defending (skills)
• Physical (athletic ability and fitness)
• Personality (character and attitude)

Our coaches and trainers will base their decisions on the these areas of evaluation and they are responsible to make the best decision for the team and players.

Your understanding here is important, just as players and parents have freedom to choose a club without unfair pressure and with a full understanding of what is expected, the coaches need the same freedom to decide which players are the best fit for their teams.

Tryouts
PSC tryouts will be held annually and are open to all players who meet the age requirements for the team. Each prospect will be given a fair opportunity to tryout for the team. PSC will announce the open tryouts (January – February) and inform the public of the specific tryout dates and times. If the coaches deem it necessary, additional tryouts may be held for their team(s), and qualified players may be added to the team roster at any time within the league guidelines.

The decisions of our coaches are final.
